The winding lines are systems that allow the rewinding of narrow strips. They are divided into two types: simple winding lines or winding and edging lines if also equipped with an edge profiling machine
SIMPLE WINDING LINES
They allow to rewind side by side turns of steel or non-ferrous metal strips, obtaining reels weighing up to 5,000 kg. The material is welded head / tail and rewound directly on the spindle of the winding machine, on spools or on disposable cardboard. Mainly utilized by narrow strip manufacturers, service centers or combined with galvanic systems for the strip surface treatment.
Material to be processed:
thickness from 0,2 to 5 mm; width from 8 to 60 mm side by side turns;
width up to 100 mm overlapping turns.
WINDING AND EDGING LINES
These lines differ from the traditional winding lines as they allow the edging and subsequent calibration through Skinpass of the strip to be processed. The head / tail welding can be performed using flash butt, tig or laser welding machines depending on the quality and dimensions of the strip to be welded.
Upon request, a tempering system of the welded area can be integrated for the processing of high carbon content material.
Finished reels: width up to 600 mm; internal diameter from 300 to 500 mm; external diameter up to 1.500 mm; weight up to 5.000 kg.
Line speed: winding from 200 to 600 m/min.
